Legacy Formed
Amidst Shifting Horizons
The fifth session of OIS MUN returns to Dhaka — three days of debate, diplomacy and decision-making, gathering O & A Level delegates from schools across Bangladesh.
A Word From the Secretariat
Five sessions ago, OIS MUN began as a single classroom of students learning to argue with grace. Today, it returns for its first fully themed edition — a milestone I am honoured to lead. Legacy Formed Amidst Shifting Horizons is not just a title; it is a question we put to every delegate: in a world that will not sit still, what will you stand for?
Across three days this September, 300-plus delegates will step into the shoes of diplomats, journalists and heads of state. They will negotiate with UN partners, celebrated guests, and one another — and, in the process, build the kind of confidence that outlasts any single conference.
Whether you are a first-time delegate or a seasoned crisis veteran, Session V was designed to meet you where you are and push you further. I look forward to welcoming you to Dhanmondi.
A Word From the Director General
Building OISMUN Session V has been more than an undertaking, it has been a discovery of what leadership truly demands. Every late meeting, every setback, every idea we rebuilt from scratch has shaped not just this conference, but the people leading it.
There were moments where the vision felt distant, and moments where it suddenly felt within reach, and somewhere between those two feelings, this session slowly became real. In the words of Heraclitus, “The only constant in life is change.” That truth has defined our journey this year, as we forged a legacy amidst shifting horizons, choosing not to fear uncertainty, but to build within it, deliberately and without hesitation.
This session carries the weight of everything our club has learned, everything we have overcome, and everything we still hope to become.
